Our Equipment

Massenza Modular HH

One small yet powerful rig, 3 sampling methods.

SPT

It is Industry practice to obtain Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data to understand a soils load bearing potential. Our modular rig is equipped with an ASTM standard 140lb drop hammer to accurately investigate geotechnical soil profiles. The hammer can incorporate a specialized drive tip, or window sampler which is calibrated to the equipment to obtain soil samples at the same time. In addition, The hammer can drive a casing for the full depth of the borehole, while retrieving a clear acrylic sample tube for the most accurate stratigraphic representation.

Auger

Auger Drilling with this portable unit allows crews to drill to depth of up to 10 meters turning augers of 4” diameter. The unit is powered by a gasoline hydraulic motor with lines of up to 100 feet. This allows the relatively small auger mast to be positioned for sampling or monitoring well installations in difficult to reach locations such as yards, inside buildings, or irregular ground while the power pack can remain safely outside of the work area.

Direct push

The Massenza also incorporates a powerful hydraulic hammer for direct push sampling applications. This unit can drive split spoon samplers, and varying lengths of window samplers for a continuous accurate soil profile.

The Massenza incorpates a powerful hydraulic puller to ensure prompt sample recovery while maintaining effective use of time on site.

Big Beaver XL

An Extremely portable Auger Unit with Big Power for its size.

The Big Beaver XL is anything but large on the scale of Auger Drilling rigs. This Unit can be mobilized just about anywhere a reasonable workspace can be established. But do not let it’s small stature fool you. The Beaver packs a punch; it is powered by a 27hp Hydraulic motor which can be left safely away from the job site with up to 100ft hydraulic lines. Turning 4.5 or 6 inch Augers, it is a perfect option for any number of applications including soil sampling, and monitoring well installations. Paired with a split spoon sampling system, undisturbed samples can be obtained at any depth interval desired as the borehole advances.

The Pionjar 120

Perhaps the most portable and accurate soil sampling option available.

The Pionjar 120 hand held drilling system is a simple cost-effective solution for the environmental sampling of soils between 0.5 to 5 meters in depth. No longer are you restricted to large, truck mounted drill rigs to obtain shallow depth split spoon samples. Furthermore, accessibility to most sites is greatly improved by the portability of the Pionjar 120, enabling the drill to be transported by our crews into sensitive jobsites or remote wilderness areas. Both the Pionjar 120 and equivalent electrically powered drilling system can also be used indoors or out and moved on site by ATV, boat, raft, snowmobile, helicopter or airplane.

Concrete Core Drill

Concrete Coring All of our crews are equipped with electrical concrete coring machines to cut through reinforced concrete floors and walls. The diamond bits used by these coring machines can cut 2.5", 4", 6", 8", 10'β€œ and 12" holes.

Our coring equipment, paired with an auxillary power source means that our crews are able core concrete and asphalt just about anywhere.
